Local Farm Stand Opened on South Gulph Road
On July 24th, the Farmer’s Market at Temple Brith Achim, 481 South Gulph Road opened, beginning a full season of fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers for the community.
Sources indicated that the Market will be open Mon-Thur 10-6:30, Fri 10-5, and Sunday 10-6. Plenty of parking is available. A semi-permanent shelter will protect produce and customers alike from rain and the hot summer sun.
Fresh, local produce will be supplied by Barry Davis, farmer and entrepreneur. All produce will be picked in the morning and sold that day, ensuring that each purchase is as fresh as possible. From a“green” point of view, locally grown food is a real plus to the environment as well as providing high-quality nutrition. (posted August 14, 2011)

Trinity Lane Car Break-Ins
On Oct. 12, a number of cars parked in the vicinity of Trinity Lane were entered by unknown persons and the contents were riffled. It appears that one vehicle was stolen and later recovered in West Conshohocken. Upper Merion Police advise that the vehicles were not locked, thus making it easy to gain access. At this time the belief is this was probably an isolated crime of opportunity. However UM police advise that residents should be alert to strangers in the area and should:
* Lock all cars, even if parked in driveways
* Maintain motion sensor and outside lights
* Do not approach strangers attempting to gain access to your cars, but go inside and call the Upper Merion Police immediately. (posted 10/16/10)
